Prosciutto and Melon

Ingredients

12   thin wedges of seeded cantaloupe or honeydew melon
12   thin slices Margherita® Prosciutto
1   tablespoon balsamic glaze*
  Chopped fresh sage and sage sprigs (optional)

*If not available, substitute a good aged balsamic vinegar.


Directions

1.  

Arrange folded prosciutto attractively over melon wedges placed on a serving platter. (May be chilled up to 1 hour before serving). Drizzle glaze over all or spoon decoratively around edges of serving platter.

Sprinkle chopped sage over melon and garnish platter with sage sprigs if desired.


Serving Variation

Brush glaze lightly over one flat side of each peeled melon wedge. Wrap one slice prosciutto attractively around melon wedge; place on a serving platter. (May be chilled up to 1 hour before serving). Sprinkle chopped sage over melon and garnish platter with sage sprigs if desired.
